We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Landscape Architect (minimum of 5 years’ experience) has become available in our London studio.

Why Join Us?

At Exterior Architecture, you’ll join a studio that’s big enough to deliver landmark projects, but agile enough to support individual growth. Our team is design-led, technically confident, and united by a belief that landscapes should be bold, inclusive, and future-focused.

We Offer:

  • An organisational structure that enables you to learn, progress and grow your career
  • A strong design ethos
  • Opportunities to take ownership of work early in your career
  • A team culture built on knowledge building, quality, and shared success
  • Play a key role in the growth of our Employee-Owned Trust practice
  • Profit Share and Competitive Benefits

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect (5–10 years’ professional experience) to take a leading role in the planning, design, and delivery of high-quality landscape projects. This position offers the opportunity to shape innovative, sustainable outdoor environments that respond to site constraints, policy requirements, and client aspirations. You will lead the development and presentation of design concepts, prepare detailed drawings and reports (including Design and Access Statements), and oversee the production and quality of technical information. Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, you will manage project workflows, contribute to tender processes, and support successful project delivery through to site completion, including monitoring quality and compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly present to clients, lead consultations, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers. You should be confident working independently on complex projects while fostering a collaborative studio environment. Membership of the Landscape Institute (LI) is required, and candidates must be actively working towards Chartership. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to step into greater leadership, influence project outcomes, and contribute to the strategic growth of a dynamic practice.

About You

  • Experienced Landscape Architect (minimum 5+ years)
  • Landscape Institute chartership (CMLI) preferred, or currently working toward chartership
  • Strong experience across all RIBA/LI work stages
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for design excellence
