Job Overview

Sphere Solutions are looking for a Joiner who has white joinery experience. This role will be based in the Howden/Goole area. Will be working in occupied premises, so will need customer services skills.

This is umbrella payment only.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Joiner - Wood to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and components. Your expertise will contribute to a variety of projects, from bespoke furniture to large-scale building frameworks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment while ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency in every task.

Duties

  • Fabricate custom wood components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques to meet project specifications
  • Assemble wooden structures, furniture, or fixtures with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Operate a variety of hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and clamps safely and effectively
  • Perform carpentry tasks including cutting, shaping, fitting, and finishing wood materials for diverse applications
  • Assist with roofing projects by installing wooden frameworks or supports as required
  • Conduct heavy lifting of materials safely to ensure smooth workflow and prevent injury
  • Support construction painting, plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks when needed to aid project completion

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry or joinery with a strong understanding of woodworking principles
  • Own a van and tools
  • Will be working in occupied premises, so will need customer services skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and construction environments
  • Knowledge of joinery techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings or blueprints
  • Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and manual labor tasks throughout the workday
  • Ability to work safely following health and safety regulations at all times
  • Basic understanding of roofing, plumbing, masonry or electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to diverse project requirements
