Job Introduction

Industrial Services Group (ISG), a not for profit department within the Built Environment sector of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, is seeking a Joiner Installer to join our dedicated team.

Established in 1997, ISG surveys, manufactures, and installs high quality PAS24, Secure by Design UPVC windows/doors, composite entrance doors, and FD30S fire doors under recognised industry certified bodies.

Our primary aim is to offer unique career development opportunities in a factory setting like no other, specifically catering to individuals with protected characteristics, disabilities, or those facing long term unemployment.

We strive to be an academy for personal and professional skills development, proudly supporting care leavers, neurodivergent young adults, and individuals with physical disabilities alike. This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.

While experience within the fenestration sector is ideal, it is not essential as full training will be given. If you have experience in a H&S conscious construction setting and a competent level of proficiency in another artisan trade discipline this role will be of interest to you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Joinery: Deliver expert installation, maintenance, and joinery work across various domestic and commercial applications.
  • Health & Safety: Safely operate all tools, plant equipment, and machinery in strict compliance with HSE regulations (including dust suppression, noise management, and equipment care).
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all works strictly meet current Building Regulations and specific industry standards, including BS 8213-4:2016, BS 8214:2016, and PAS 24:2016.
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret scale drawings, specifications, and technical manuals, including the Winkhaus fire door installation manual.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose faults on-site, use your experienced skillset to implement effective rectifications, and take personal responsibility for managing your daily workload.
  • Process Improvement: Assess active site processes to ensure they remain safe and efficient, proposing alternative, safer working methods where required.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise site installations when required, offering technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, apprentices, and semi-skilled operatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and sign off on initial, interim, and final works completed by trainees and apprentices.
  • Admin & Governance: Adhere to all ISG and Council procedural controls, documentation processes, and data confidentiality rules.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
