Salary: £30,990 – £34,399 FTE with annual incremental progression. £17.53 per hour. Starting salary will be based on skills and experience.

Hours: 34 hours per week

Salary range: £30,990 – £34,399 FTE with annual incremental progression. £17.53 per hour. Starting salary will be based on skills and experience.

Additional payments for on call (£180.25 per week) + call outs paid at 1.5 x hourly rate.

Hours: 34 hour week, worked over 4 days between 8am and 5pm and enjoy a rota that allows long weekend downtime every 5 weeks.

The Role

You’ll be joining a team of Skilled operatives working both independently and as part of a team carrying out reactive and void works, kitchen replacements as well as other multi-skilled duties which include, basic plumbing, minor plastering repairs, decoration etc.

You’ll do this whilst delivering a responsive and ‘right first time’ approach and will share our commitment to providing a GREAT customer service.

The role is agile with travel across Dumfries & Galloway and reports to the In-House Repairs Team Manager. This post will be based within both our East and West areas covering DG1,2,3,4,5,6 and DG7 postcodes. You may be required to cover other areas throughout the region from time to time.

You’ll need to hold a clean valid UK driving licence as you will be required to drive as part of this role. Loreburn will provide you with a fully stocked Loreburn van, tools, PPE and mobile technology you’ll need to carry out the role.

What We’re Looking For

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have relevant experience and qualifications Time served joiner – City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3
  • Full valid clean driving licence
  • Can demonstrate the ability to develop new skills
  • Are able to provide support and guidance to any apprentices
  • Can participate in the on-call rota to provide out of hours services to our customers
  • Are able to work under pressure, organising and prioritising to deliver outputs and meet deadlines
  • Have working knowledge of Health & Safety and risk management in the workplace
  • Can be flexible in your approach to ensure jobs are completed
  • Are able to work independently, whilst also being a great team player to get the job done
  • Have a basic understanding of IT (use of apps, emails etc.) and a willingness to learn our systems to update data
  • Can work using your own initiative
