Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Quest Joinery is a multi-award-winning bespoke joinery fit-out and manufacturing specialist delivering exceptional craftsmanship to commercial and private clients across the South East. Operating from our modern headquarters in Hemel Hempstead, equipped with cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, we are proud of our reputation for excellence, innovation, and attention to detail.
As our continued growth creates new opportunities, we are looking for an experienced Joinery CAD Technician and CNC Programmer to join our commercial team and play a key role in delivering successful projects ranging from £10,000 to £5 million.
A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make
Every day you'll play a pivotal role in bringing bespoke joinery projects to life. Working closely with project managers, designers, and production teams, you'll produce accurate manufacturing drawings, detailed 3D models, and CNC programs that ensure every component is manufactured efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your technical expertise will help streamline production, improve quality, and ensure our projects are delivered with the precision and craftsmanship Quest Joinery is known for.
What You'll Do
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, 3D models, and technical information from approved design concepts, ensuring every detail is ready for production.
- Generate accurate CNC programs using software such as WoodWOP 8, SWoodCAM, or similar, supporting efficient machining and manufacturing processes.
- Prepare cutting lists, hardware schedules, and production documentation to ensure smooth workflow through procurement, machining, and assembly.
- Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and machine operators to ensure designs, materials, and CNC programs are fully coordinated and reflect the latest approved revisions.
- Continuously improve manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and support safe working practices.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an organised, technically minded individual with a passion for bespoke joinery and manufacturing excellence.
You'll Ideally Have
- Experience producing detailed technical drawings and CNC programs within a joinery or woodworking environment.
- Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate technical documentation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- A willingness to occasionally travel for site surveys and client meetings, predominantly across London.
