At Quest Joinery, we're renowned for delivering exceptional bespoke joinery for prestigious projects, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing expertise. As our business continues to grow—with a projected turnover of £12 million this year—we're looking for an experienced Joinery Production Manager to lead our busy manufacturing facility and play a pivotal role in our continued success.
A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make
As Joinery Production Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of our purpose-built manufacturing facility, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the exceptional standards our clients expect.
Leading a multi-disciplined team, you'll oversee production planning, quality, people development and operational performance while working closely with Pre-Construction, Logistics and senior leadership to ensure customer expectations, commercial objectives and production deadlines are consistently achieved.
Your leadership will shape the future of the workshop, helping to build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operation of our joinery manufacturing facility, managing a team of over 40 people across production and workshop functions.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, quality, productivity and cost control to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
- Develop, motivate and support your team through effective leadership, coaching, recruitment and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, workflow and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, compliance and workshop maintenance while working collaboratively with internal departments to achieve business objectives.
About You
You'll be an experienced manufacturing leader with a proven background in joinery, woodworking or a related production environment. You're passionate about developing people, improving performance and creating a positive, high-performing culture where quality comes first.
You'll Also Bring
- Significant experience managing a joinery or manufacturing workshop.
- Proven success leading large production teams, ideally with responsibility for 40+ direct and indirect reports.
- Strong operational and commercial awareness, with experience delivering against production targets, budgets and business objectives.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning and quality management.
- A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate teams and build effective working relationships.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, problem solving and driving operational excellence.
