Sangoma – Empowering Businesses With Essential Communications

Sangoma is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Jr. Sales Engineer to support our growing business across the United Kingdom region. This role partners closely with Account Managers, Channel Managers, partners, and customers to design and position Sangoma’s communications solutions while serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle.

You will play a critical role in helping customers and partners understand the value of Sangoma’s UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP, networking, and cloud communications portfolio by translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Regional Channel Managers to support customer growth and revenue expansion
  • Work directly with customers, partners, VARs, MSPs, agents, and telecom providers to design and recommend solutions
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution workshops
  • Support discovery sessions to understand customer business requirements, infrastructure, and communication challenges
  • Help customers find scalable solutions across Sangoma’s portfolio in UCaaS/CCaaS, SIP/VoIP, Networking, Managed services and cloud communications
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and provide technical documentation and solution diagrams
  • Assist Account Managers in identifying upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Support, and Operations teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
  • Support customer onboarding and transition activities where required
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales
  • Experience supporting telecom, UCaaS, CCaaS, SIP, VoIP, networking, or cloud communications solutions
  • Understanding of SIP protocols, voice networking, cloud communications, contact center technologies, and telecom infrastructure
  • Strong presentation and customer-facing communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with channel partners and indirect sales organizations is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and modern collaboration platforms
  • Self-motivated with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel within the UK region as needed
