Senior SDR / Junior Account Executive
We’re exclusively partnering with an established UK telecommunications and voice technology business to hire a high-performing Senior SDR who is ready to take the next step into an Account Executive / closing role.
This is an opportunity for someone who has already proven they can prospect and generate opportunities but now wants more ownership, more commercial responsibility and the opportunity to close business themselves.
The business operates across voice, hosted communications and carrier services, with a strong existing customer base and significant opportunity to build a more proactive new-business sales function.
The Opportunity:
This isn't another SDR role where you're simply expected to book meetings and pass opportunities elsewhere.
We're looking for a commercial, hungry and proactive salesperson who can initially operate across both prospecting and closing - generating opportunities, developing relationships and increasingly owning deals through to completion.
You'll work across both new-logo acquisition and existing-account development, identifying opportunities within the current customer base while building your own pipeline of new business.
The longer-term opportunity is to establish yourself as a successful full-cycle Account Executive.
What You'll Do:
- Build and manage your own new-business pipeline
- Prospect into new target accounts through outbound activity
- Follow up and convert inbound opportunities
- Identify additional commercial opportunities within existing customer relationships
- Run discovery conversations with prospective customers
- Understand customer requirements across voice and communications
- Progress qualified opportunities through the sales process
- Build proposals and commercially position the right solution
- Negotiate and increasingly close your own deals
- Work closely with senior leadership to help develop the wider new-business strategy
- Bring energy, structure and a genuine hunter mentality to the sales function

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
