Junior Technical Advisor - Construction Products

Are you looking to launch a rewarding career in the construction sector? We are actively seeking a motivated and energetic Junior Technical Advisor to join a dynamic, growing business in Peterborough. This is an urgent, high-priority hire, and we are looking to move quickly to find the right individual to join our team. You will join a close-knit, collaborative office environment of approximately 70 people. Our structure is flat, supportive, and transparent, ensuring you have direct access to leadership and the guidance needed to succeed. While we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with their enthusiasm, we provide full, comprehensive technical training to help you evolve into a technical sales specialist or a commercial lead.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming technical enquiries via phone and email, providing expert guidance to our clients.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into precise system specifications that meet project needs.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation and specifications to support construction and design professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales and technical teams to assist during the tendering and bidding process.
  • Maintain accurate project records and internal databases to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Build and nurture long-term, professional relationships with our diverse client base.

Qualifications:

  • A proactive, "people-person" personality with excellent communication skills.
  • A natural curiosity and a strong desire to learn technical products; prior specialist sector knowledge is not essential as full training is provided.
  • High level of organizational ability, with the capacity to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-focused office environment.
  • Energetic mindset with an ambition to develop a long-term career within a high-growth company.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: £30,000 base + bonus scheme.
  • Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, based in Peterborough.
  • Flexibility: Hybrid working model introduced after 3 months (4 days in office / 1 day WFH).
