Brindisa, now in its 38th year, has grown to become the UK's leading importer of the finest Spanish foods. We search for, select and sell delicious Spanish foods through our Brindisa shops and website, and via wholesale to businesses throughout the UK. We devote our time to Spain and its produce because we love the food and are passionate about sharing it with others. Role Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Junior Account Manager - Specialities to join our B2B Commercial team at Brindisa.
This is a fantastic development opportunity for someone with experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, food retail or another customer-facing commercial environment who is ready to take the next step into account management.
Working closely with our experienced Senior Account Managers, you will support key speciality accounts while also managing your own portfolio of customers, including delicatessens, independent retailers, restaurants and hospitality businesses.
You’ll build strong customer relationships, develop your commercial and product knowledge and identify opportunities to grow sales, while sharing Brindisa’s passion for exceptional Spanish food.
The role is based at our Head Office in Balham, London SW12, with regular travel required for customer meetings, events and other commercial activity.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Senior Account Managers with key customer accounts, including meeting preparation, sales information, samples, product information and follow-up actions.
- Manage and develop your own portfolio of speciality food customers.
- Build warm and trusted customer relationships through regular phone, email and face-to-face contact.
- Understand customers’ businesses and recommend relevant Brindisa products and categories.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, order frequency and product range.
- Support customer presentations, tastings, range reviews, seasonal activity and new product launches.
- Monitor account performance and follow up on declining sales, lapsed orders and potential growth opportunities.
- Support new business activity, from researching and qualifying prospects through to presentations, onboarding and first orders.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, forecasts and follow-up actions.
- Work closely with Customer Experience, Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical, Brand & Communication, Marketing and Warehouse teams to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Develop your product, commercial and negotiation skills with support from experienced colleagues, progressing towards full Account Manager capability.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in sales, account support, customer service, hospitality, food retail or another customer-facing commercial environment.
- A natural ability to build positive relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage different priorities.
- A developing commercial mindset and an interest in understanding sales, margin and customer performance.
- Confidence working with numbers and customer or sales information.
- Clear, professional and engaging communication skills.
- A proactive and positive approach, with the confidence to take ownership while knowing when to ask for support.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning CRM, ERP and sales reporting systems.
- Collaborative, curious and keen to learn and develop.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer meetings, tastings and trade events.
- Experience within food, hospitality, independent retail or speciality food would be an advantage.
- A genuine passion for food and an interest in Spanish gastronomy and culture would be a great fit for Brindisa.
