Junior Account Manager (National)

Department: Commercial

Location: London Office (Holborn) | In-office role (not remote)

Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm)

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Role Summary

The Junior Account Manager (National) is responsible for supporting and developing PURESEOUL's wholesale and retail partner network across the UK. Acting as the day-to-day contact for national and independent retail accounts, the role focuses on account growth, relationship management, commercial performance, and operational excellence.

Working closely with internal teams including Supply Chain, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations, the successful candidate will help drive sales growth, ensure seamless order fulfilment, and identify opportunities to expand PURESEOUL's presence within key retail partners.

This role is ideal for someone with previous account management experience, either working for a beauty or consumer goods brand, or managing wholesale and retail accounts. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised, and passionate about building long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned wholesale and retail accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, store teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and maintain consistent communication to identify opportunities and address challenges.
  • Deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining commercial objectives.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand product listings, distribution, and promotional activity within existing accounts.
  • Research and support onboarding of new wholesale and retail partners.
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, pitches, and commercial proposals.
  • Support negotiations on trading terms, ranging, and promotional activity where required.

Commercial Performance

  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, margins, and sell-through across key accounts.
  • Analyse performance data and recommend actions to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Produce regular account reports highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and key actions.

Order & Operational Management

  • Coordinate wholesale orders from purchase through to fulfilment and delivery.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Monitor stock availability and proactively communicate supply issues or delivery delays.
  • Resolve account queries and operational challenges efficiently.

Promotional Planning & Launch Support

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams to support retailer launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal activity.
  • Ensure partners receive relevant product information, imagery, pricing updates, and launch materials.
  • Coordinate promotional timelines and ensure stock readiness for key trading periods.

Market & Competitive Awareness

  • Monitor competitor activity, retail trends, and market developments.
  • Share insights and recommendations that support commercial growth and account strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure successful account delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer agreements, pricing, forecasts, and account activity.

Travel

  • The role is primarily based in Central London; however, candidates must be willing to travel regularly throughout the UK.
  • Travel may include retailer meetings, store visits, industry events, trade shows, and occasional visits to the warehouse or partner locations.
  • Some overnight stays may be required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in account management, wholesale sales, national accounts, business development, or commercial roles.
  • Experience working for a consumer goods, beauty, FMCG, retail, or distribution business.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
  • Passion for beauty, retail, and consumer brands.

Desirable

  • Experience managing wholesale or retail accounts.
  • Experience working for a beauty, skincare, cosmetics, or consumer goods brand.
  • Knowledge of national retail accounts and wholesale operations.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP, or sales reporting systems.
  • Understanding of promotional planning and retail marketing.
  • Korean beauty industry knowledge or experience.
