About the Role

The Junior Account Manager (JAM), is an integral position within Rush’s Client Service Team supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects, from brief to execution. The individual will work to build strong relationships with key client representatives, ensure that client deliverables and project milestones are delivered on-time, on-budget and of a quality expected by Rush and its clients.

The successful candidate will be a capable multi-tasker, with an ability to juggle multiple projects in a calm and organized way, often working on future dated projects while delivering and executing current projects.

The role requires you to be able to work autonomously with a minimum amount of supervision and possess the requisite attributes to be able to manage subordinates and agency suppliers. An appetite for frequent travel for events and business meetings assisting in the management of the client is a must.

As part of the role, the JAM will be exposed to high profile partnership campaigns, events often operating in the context of corporate environments, requiring the ability to communicate effectively, handle high pressure situations with a calm and confident demeanour and be able to manage multiple stakeholders across multiple time zones with an enthusiastic, detail-oriented mind set.

The role will require the JAM to develop a deep understanding of our clients’ business objectives, Rush’s business proposition and the broader commercial aspects of the sport and entertainment industry. The role will be suited to someone who is a strong all-rounder, has experience working within the nuanced world of Formula 1.

Responsibilities

  • Working on day-to-day operations, client reporting and budgeting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, rights holders, agencies, and suppliers.
  • Support the client’s strategy, maximise partnership asset usage and align programme with brand and business objectives.
  • Project manage activations from ideation to execution across multiple marketing channels.
  • Provide on-event management and logistics including hosting guest programmes on event, supporting talent appearance events, internal engagement, and VIP customer & client executive experiences.
  • Liaise with Rights Holders to track, schedule and manage partnership rights and assets.
  • Be accountable to client KPI’s and measure campaign effectiveness to demonstrate ROI.
  • Act as a consultant, advising and guiding the client & external stakeholders on best practice and process.
  • Monitor the latest trends in sport, business, and technology.
  • Ideate and bring to life new programme opportunities for existing and potential clients.
  • Support the wider Rush Team with New Business development campaigns.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Two (2) to four (4) years direct F1 sponsorship experience is required.
  • Strong client service skills, including relationship management, stakeholder communication, and the ability to support multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foundational experience or education in marketing, sponsorship, or sports and entertainment management, with an interest in partnership strategy and campaign execution.
  • Strong people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation preparation, meeting notes, and professional correspondence.
  • Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM or project management tools) and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for sport and entertainment, with an understanding of sponsorship, rights management, and brand partnerships considered an advantage.
