Junior Account Manager

Company: Albany Beck
Location: London (Hybrid) – 3 days p/w in Cannon Street
Client Industry: Financial Services

About Albany Beck

Albany Beck is a fast-growing Management Consultancy partnering with some of the world’s leading Financial Services organisations. With a team of 300+ people, we deliver specialist expertise across Technology, Change & Transformation, Cyber Security, Data, Regulatory Compliance and Business Operations, helping our clients deliver some of their most important programmes of work.

We’re at an exciting stage of our growth. We’ve continued to expand our client base, deepen relationships with existing clients, grow geographically and increase the breadth of work we deliver across Financial Services. As part of the next stage of that growth, we’re investing significantly in our Head Office team and are looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join us. This role could suit someone already working within Account Management, Sales or Business Development, or someone coming from a recruitment or consultancy environment who has gained exposure to managing clients, developing relationships and generating new business. We’re less concerned about your exact job title or background and much more interested in your attitude, commercial mindset, communication skills, work ethic and ambition.

Role Overview

You’ll work directly alongside one of our experienced Client Account Directors, giving you the opportunity to learn from someone who already manages established relationships across some of our key Financial Services clients. Importantly, you won’t be expected to start from a blank sheet of paper. You’ll have the opportunity to work within existing, warm Albany Beck accounts – building relationships with new stakeholders, understanding different areas of the organisation and identifying where else we can support the client.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you’ll take increasing ownership of those relationships and opportunities yourself. At the same time, we want you to develop your own commercial network. You’ll be encouraged to identify, approach and build relationships with prospective clients, creating new opportunities and ultimately winning new accounts that you can develop and grow yourself. It gives you exposure to both sides of Account Management: learning how to grow established strategic accounts while also developing the skills to originate, win and build new client relationships from the ground up.

A major part of the role is about understanding clients properly. What are they trying to achieve? What programmes are coming up? Where are they experiencing challenges? Who else should we be speaking to? And where can Albany Beck genuinely add value?

Once an opportunity is identified, you’ll work closely with our internal Talent Acquisition and delivery teams to turn that conversation into a successful outcome – from understanding exactly what the client needs, through to identifying the right people and ultimately deploying Albany Beck consultants into the client. This isn't a role where you'll simply inherit a list of clients and maintain existing relationships. We want someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded and proactive – someone who wants to understand their clients properly, build genuine relationships, create opportunities and ultimately grow their own client portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
