Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and transaction processing while working closely with the finance team. This role contributes to maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and providing accurate financial information for business decision-making. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, integrity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and management reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support payroll processing and expense reimbursement activities where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial regulations, and internal controls.
  • Assist with audit preparation by organizing financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
  • Stay informed about accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and financial reconciliation.
  • Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and continuous professional development.
