Role Description
The Junior Accountant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Hounslow. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, updating ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves supporting the preparation of financial reports, helping with accounts payable and receivable, and maintaining accurate documentation and filing of financial records. The Junior Accountant will also assist senior staff with basic tax and compliance work, respond to routine client queries, and support general administrative tasks related to accounting operations.

Qualifications

- Must have a professional accounting qualification, AAT or similar.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in using accounting or bookkeeping software and standard office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word).
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to follow established processes and guidelines.
- Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and support client-facing activities.
- Relevant qualifications such as an AAT level or equivalent, or current study toward an accounting or finance qualification is essential.
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in an accounting or office environment would be an advantage but is not always required.
