This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Shildon. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, posting transactions, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role involves reconciling bank statements, maintaining accurate ledgers, and helping prepare routine financial reports for management. The Junior Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, support internal controls and compliance, and respond to financial queries from internal stakeholders. The position offers exposure to a fast-paced industrial environment, working closely with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate financial information.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger management, and reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, formulas, spreadsheets, and reports).
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to manage routine tasks reliably and on schedule.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and operations teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally in an industrial and recycling-focused business; prior experience in manufacturing or logistics is an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
