Job title: Accounts Assistant (Graduate / First Job)
Location: North London, between Islington and King's Cross
Salary: £25K - £27K
Hours: Full time, office based 4 days a week

My client is a well established, friendly non corporate business with a medium sized finance team, and we have a rare opportunity to join them within a role that requires no experience, simply the right attitude and good academics. You will be their Accounts Assistant who wants to learn the ropes and grow. No experience needed. Full training is given, so if you're keen, enjoy working with numbers, have a flair for maths and like a good spreadsheet, this may be the career role for you. Future further study support will also be available if you wish to progress onto your AAT.

What you'll be doing
- Posting purchase invoices and expenses
- Putting together supplier payment runs
- Reconciling company credit cards and customer accounts
- Raising sales invoices and helping with monthly statements
- Helping with credit control, including chasing overdue accounts by phone and email
- Keeping client details up to date in Xero (full training given)
- Posting to the cashbook and helping with bank reconciliations
- Producing regular finance reports
- Supporting the Finance Manager and the wider team

Requirements
What you'll need
- GCSE Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)
- A Levels, a BTec or a finance related UK degree
- Confident with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Good with numbers and a real eye for detail
- A willingness to learn and take on feedback
- Clear, friendly communication skills
- Good time management and the ability to juggle deadlines
Happy to be in the office 4 days a week, full time in the office for the first 3 months.
This is a junior role, applicants with over 1 year's accountancy experience will not be considered.
