The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounts Assistant to join the finance team.

This role is a crucial part in supporting daily financial operations, focusing on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and essential transactional processes. It involves collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and helping maintain accurate financial data.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual with strong numeracy skills, looking to build a career in industry and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Match and process customers’ remittances to bank receipts.
  • Reconcile customer statements to the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Investigate unidentified customer receipts.
  • Process supplier invoices.
  • Match supplier statements to the accounts payable ledger.
  • Resolve any supplier invoice discrepancies.
  • Help prepare supplier payments.
  • Assist with managing the team’s email inboxes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and other stakeholders to resolve queries.
  • Input and maintain financial data in systems.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Help with month end closing routines and report running.
  • Review customer credit applications.
  • Provide support to the finance team as required.

  • Basic computer literacy.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Mathematics (Grade 5 or above) or A-Level Mathematics (Grade C or above).
