About B&M
At B&M, our continued growth is driven by securing great locations that support our expansion plans and deliver long-term commercial value. As a Junior Acquisition Manager, you will play an important role in identifying, assessing and progressing new store opportunities, helping to build the pipeline that underpins the future success of our business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious property professional looking to develop a career in retail acquisitions. Working alongside experienced Acquisition Managers and senior property leaders, you will gain exposure to site sourcing, commercial appraisals, transaction management and stakeholder engagement, while taking ownership of smaller opportunities and developing the skills required to progress into a full Acquisition Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification and appraisal of new store opportunities, carrying out market research, site assessments and property analysis across target locations.
- Assist with the progression of acquisition opportunities, liaising with landlords, agents and developers throughout the transaction process.
- Manage acquisition trackers, appraisal records and approval documentation, helping to maintain momentum across a high-volume pipeline.
- Prepare financial appraisals, site evaluations and supporting business case information to assess commercial viability and investment returns.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external property contacts, supporting the smooth transition of approved sites into delivery and construction phases.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
