Junior Advertising Specialist
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term
Location: Southampton / Eastleigh
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 17:30pm
Salary: £28,700 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic Junior Advertising Specialist to join our UK Marketing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Whether you're a recent graduate or have gained some early experience in advertising or digital marketing, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career with a globally recognised brand.
Working with the wider UK & Ireland team and reporting into the Paid Media Manager, you’ll be supporting advertising efforts for Garmin UK and Ireland, ensuring effective delivery of paid media that drive desired business outcomes.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in advertising, campaign reporting, media planning and performance analysis while working alongside experienced marketing professionals and external agency partners.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in advertising.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Paid Media Manager and appointed media buying agency to deliver best-in-class advertising plans for Garmin UK & Ireland (including Amazon paid media), ensuring alignment to business goals
- Build and maintain an excellent relationship with our appointed media agency and media partners
- Support the Paid Media Manager with creative asset management, ensuring campaign materials are organised, compliant and delivered on time
- Work with our appointed agency, eCommerce and Social Media teams to implement strong campaign monitoring processes and measurements
- Support the Paid Media Manager with campaign administration and operational support, including but not limited to, campaign tracking, competitor monitoring, file management, keyword maintenance and quality assurance activities
- Support the Paid Media Manager team to produce pre, during, and post-campaign reports on our paid media efficiency and effectiveness
- Support the Marketing team with additional duties as required
- Work on ad-hoc projects where necessary

Education, Experience, Capabilities and Personal Qualities
Essential
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Basic understanding of advertising and brand principles, the advertising industry and paid media best practices
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
- Proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail
- Flexible, hands-on approach to business
- Flexibility to travel within the UK (London primarily)
Desirable
- Exposure to Meta, Google and/or Amazon advertising platforms through employment, internships, university projects or personal learning would be advantageous
- Comfortable working with data and using campaign performance information to support reporting and optimisation
