Junior AI Automation Developer

The Junior AI Automation Developer will help us solve the manual workarounds that slow down our clients. We are currently working with a major financial services provider based in the sector to address systemic delays in their approval chains and manual data entry points. You will assist in identifying where automation can replace repetitive manual steps, ensuring that data flows correctly between systems that currently do not communicate. This is a fully remote, permanent position focused on tangible fixes rather than theoretical designs.

About Tech Pipeline

We target the friction points that prevent businesses from operating efficiently.

  • Our work involves fixing broken routing rules and consolidating drifting backlogs.
  • We prefer using the software a company already owns rather than suggesting expensive new platforms.
  • We write clear documentation and runbooks so the client can manage the fix after we leave.
  • Our teams stay through the cutover and the first month of operation to ensure the solution holds.
  • We value plain English and named ownership of tasks.
  • We avoid abstract frameworks, choosing instead to focus on the specific routing rules and logs that govern a process.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in mapping out current manual reconciliation processes to find automation opportunities.
  • Write and test basic scripts or AI prompts to handle data extraction from various logs and documents.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect new automated workflows.
  • Monitor system logs during the first month of a new implementation to catch errors early.
  • Help identify where data goes bad within a routing rule or an approval chain.
  • Organize and consolidate decision logs for transparency during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot why specific automations fail under certain conditions.
  • Review existing configuration files to ensure they match the intended logic of the new process.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How We Work

We prioritize clear documentation over long meetings. Most of our internal updates happen through weekly written reports. We believe in named ownership, where every fix has a clear person responsible for its success. Since we are a remote company, we rely on precise communication and well-maintained runbooks to keep projects on track. We are not interested in creating dependencies: our goal is always to fix the problem, stabilize the client, and move on to the next challenge. We focus on the gaps between tools and the reality of daily operations, ensuring that the work actually gets done without the drag of manual intervention.
