Role: Junior AI Developer
Location: Home working with occasional office visits to Birmingham City Centre
Experience
- Recently graduated or about to graduate in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related degree
- Good understanding of core AI and Machine Learning concepts, including Large Language Models
- Demonstrable practical experience using Git, Python, and SQL
- Experimented with AI or machine learning outside university coursework
- Kept up with developments in AI and enjoys exploring new tools and technologies
- Built personal projects, experimented with LLMs, entered hackathons, or contributed to GitHub projects
- Naturally curious and enjoys solving problems
- Can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical people
- Comfortable working as part of a team and learning from more experienced people
- Interested in how businesses can use AI effectively

Qualification
- Degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related subject
Responsibilities
- Work with experienced AI consultants to design, develop, and deliver AI solutions for clients across public and private sectors
- Understand client challenges and identify where AI can make a genuine difference
- Research and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning technologies
- Design AI solutions from initial ideas through to implementation
- Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations
- Assist with prompt engineering, AI workflows, and AI-powered applications
- Analyse data and evaluate the performance and usefulness of AI solutions
- Support client workshops and presentations
- Document technical approaches and communicate findings clearly
- Learn to assess AI solutions for accuracy, privacy, security, fairness, and responsible use
- Learn from senior consultants and gradually take ownership of your own areas of work
Additional Responsibilities
- Work on solutions across a range of industries in both the public and private sectors
- Take AI ideas through to measurable business value
- Work with technologies such as generative AI, LLMs, Python, APIs, and data
