About The Company
We are a fast-growing startup at the intersection of quantum computing and financial services, applying cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to solve complex business problems for our clients.
Our mission is to deliver real-world impact through high-quality product development, operational excellence, and strategic client engagement. We value collaboration, curiosity, and ownership, and are building a team that thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
About The Role
Qubitra is an early-stage company building quantum and quantum-inspired software for financial institutions. We translate frontier methods into deployable tools that deliver measurable performance today, starting with algorithmic trading across FX, equities, commodities, and crypto.
As our Junior Algo Research Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of quantitative research and production engineering, turning research ideas into robust, backtested, deployable code. You'll build and test the algorithms, data pipelines, and simulation tooling that power our trading products. It's a hands-on role for someone early in their career who's excited to learn fast, work across the science/engineering boundary, and see their work run in a live environment. You'll join a small, senior team, working directly with our quantum scientists and engineers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
