Location: Belfast with hybrid working
Hybrid working: You will be able to work from home and come into the office to collaborate with your team(s) when required. We have flexible core hours, and we don’t believe in a culture of presenteeism. We will discuss what is important to you during the recruitment process.
Salary & Benefits: £28,600 + 10% pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, 35-hour working week, up to 13 flexi-days, private medical insurance, life assurance, and much more!

The role
As our Resource Management Junior Analyst, you will help turn Local Authority and Business Waste data information into insight that supports real-world action. Sitting within our Policy, Research and Data team, you will work alongside experienced analysts and researchers who will support you to build your skills, explore new methods and contribute to meaningful projects across a wide range of topics. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and evidence, and communicating findings in a clear and useful way.
- Gather, check and analyse data and research to help answer important policy questions on waste and recycling.
- Turn findings into clear summaries, reports and presentations that others, including government, can use.
- Support projects by keeping Local Authority information organised, accurate and up to date.
- Work with colleagues across different teams to understand their needs and share useful insights.
- Learn new approaches, tools and techniques with coaching from experienced team members.

What are we looking for?
You Will Bring
- Experience gathering, checking and analysing data or research evidence to help answer practical questions.
- Ability to use spreadsheets to organise information, analyse data and present findings clearly.
- Experience summarising research or analysis in a way that helps others understand what the evidence shows.
- Ability to manage your own tasks, keep information accurate and meet agreed deadlines.
- A degree involving numerical skills or research methods, or equivalent practical experience in research, data analysis or evidence gathering.
