About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join a growing application support team responsible for maintaining and improving a business-critical enterprise application.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their technology career who wants to develop their skills in application support, incident management, troubleshooting, data analysis, and service delivery.
You'll work alongside experienced support professionals, gaining hands-on experience investigating issues, supporting users, managing incidents, and contributing to continuous service improvement.
While training will be provided, we're looking for someone who already has a foundation in technology and is keen to build a long-term career in IT and application support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Investigating and resolving application incidents and service requests
- Supporting problem and change management activities
- Working with users to understand issues and identify solutions
- Collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders
- Supporting weekly and monthly service reporting
- Maintaining support documentation and knowledge articles
- Contributing to service improvements and process enhancements
- Developing expertise in enterprise applications and support processes

Essential Experience
You'll have some previous exposure to technology through one or more of the following:
- Technology bootcamp or academy programme
- Computer Science, IT, Information Systems or related degree
- IT apprenticeship
- Service Desk, Technical Support or Application Support experience
- Placement year or internship within a technology environment
- Personal technology projects demonstrating technical curiosity
Desirable Technical Skills
Experience in all of these areas is not expected, but exposure to some of the following would be beneficial:
- Microsoft Excel, including filtering, sorting, and basic formulas
- SQL and database concepts
- Power BI
- Incident or service management processes
- Application support environments
- JavaScript or another programming language
- Data analysis and troubleshooting techniques
Training & Development
You'll receive structured onboarding, mentoring, and hands-on training from experienced team members. This includes:
- Application support fundamentals
- Incident, problem, and change management processes
- Technical and business process training
- Shadowing and mentoring opportunities
- Ongoing development and career progression support

Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone who has already taken their first steps into technology and wants to accelerate their career.
You might be a recent graduate, bootcamp graduate, IT apprentice, junior support analyst, service desk analyst, or someone with equivalent hands-on technical experience.
Most importantly, you'll have strong problem-solving skills, a genuine interest in technology, and the motivation to continue learning and developing.
