We are seeking a Junior AV Installation Engineer to join our expanding team. No prior AV installation experience is needed; we are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, a passion for technology and a willingness to learn.
Role Overview
This role provides hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual (AV) systems.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, gain valuable industry knowledge, and assist in AV projects across various sites. They will receive comprehensive training and support/mentoring throughout their development into a confident and capable AV engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the AVM values (positivity, empathy, and innovation) and our reputation with clients, partners, and suppliers.
- Assist in the installation of AV projects, including projectors, displays, speakers, video conferencing systems, and equipment racks.
- Installation and basic programming of AV control systems.
- Learn to read and interpret AV schematics and layout drawings.
- Assist in first and second fix structured cabling – pulling, terminating, soldering, and testing.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a professional manner.
- Ensure all work meeting industry standards and company quality expectations.
- Follow health & safety regulations and company procedures on-site.

Qualifications and Experience
- Full UK driving license.
- A real self-starter who actively seeks feedback and applies learnings to improve performance.
- Interest in audio visual technology, IT, or electrical engineering.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Develop positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work flexible hours.
