We are adding a Junior Automation Specialist to our team to help us solve operational problems for our clients. Currently, we are working with a London-based client to organize their internal processes and data flow. You will be helping us build the connections between their different software tools so their staff can stop manually copying information from one screen to another. This is a practical role focused on making business operations run more smoothly through simple, reliable scripts and integrations.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical work like admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most people try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a messy spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.

We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, including the code and the documentation, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable. We are a team that prefers solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.

The Role

In this position, you will be setting up automations that move information between different platforms. A lot of the work involves looking at how a team currently handles their data and finding a way to make it automatic. This is a fully remote role where you will focus on building logical, reliable sequences that save people time every day. Your work helps ensure that data stays accurate as it moves from one system to the next.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Connecting different software tools through their APIs to sync information.
  • Writing and testing scripts to clean up and format data before it enters a database.
  • Monitoring existing automations to ensure they are running correctly without errors.
  • Helping our London-based client sync their inventory data with their shipping and logistics logs.
  • Documenting how specific automations work so that the client and the rest of the team can maintain them.
  • Participating in weekly demos to show the progress of the workflows you have built.
  • Collaborating with senior developers to troubleshoot why a specific data transfer might have failed.

What You Bring

This is an entry level role, so we are looking for someone who is organized and curious about how different systems work together. You do not need a long history of professional work, but you should have a basic understanding of how data flows between applications. We value people who are comfortable working on practical, behind-the-scenes projects rather than just chasing the latest design trends. Being able to explain your work clearly to the rest of the team is important.

  • A basic understanding of programming logic and how to write simple scripts.
  • Comfort with manual testing to make sure an automation does what it is supposed to do.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple small tasks.
  • A willingness to learn how different business tools, like CRMs or inventory managers, function.
  • The ability to follow technical documentation to understand how an API works.
  • A preference for simple, readable code over complex or clever solutions.
  • Patience for troubleshooting and finding the specific point where a process breaks.

Working at Pixel Systems

We are a fully remote team that values quiet, focused work over long meetings. Because we are a small group, you will see exactly how your work helps the end user, whether that is a warehouse manager or an operations lead. There are no layers of middle management here. You will work directly with senior developers who can help you learn the right way to build stable software. This is a permanent, full-time position. We offer a pay structure that is attractive and competitive for the entry level market.

We pride ourselves on being a no-drama workplace. We focus on shipping working code and helping our clients solve their headaches. If you prefer building tools that solve real problems and want to work in an environment where clarity and stability are prioritized, you will fit in well here. We value steady progress and clear documentation over long hours or high-pressure deadlines. Our goal is always to leave the client with a system that is better than the one they had before.
