About the Role
Most companies struggle with internal processes that break as they grow or change. We step in to fix these broken workflows and ensure data moves where it needs to go without constant manual intervention.
We are looking for a Junior Automation Specialist to join our team in supporting a London-based partner with their internal systems. This role exists to take the friction out of daily operations by automating the repetitive tasks that slow teams down. You will help us untangle messy data and build stable bridges between different software tools to keep things moving.
What you will do
- Trace data flows through different software tools to find exactly where errors occur in a sequence.
- Build simple automated workflows between systems such as CRM platforms and project management tools.
- Read through system logs to troubleshoot why an automated update failed to trigger as expected.
- Draft clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so everyone on the team knows how a new process works.
- Test new integrations thoroughly before they go live to ensure they do not break existing data structures.
- Update internal documentation every time a process change is made to keep information current.
- Join discovery sessions to take detailed notes on how current manual processes are failing the team.
- Monitor live workflows during their first month of operation to ensure the logic holds up under real conditions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Patience for testing and re-testing until a system works perfectly every time.

- A professional setting where clear written documentation is valued over long, frequent meetings.

Our team avoids the overhead of constant status meetings and instead relies on clear, concise written updates to keep everyone informed. We operate on the principle that if a process is fixed and documented, our job is done. We value the quiet satisfaction of a system that works exactly as intended and stay involved until the people using the tool are fully comfortable with the change. This is a permanent, full-time position for someone who wants to learn the practical side of business operations while working from wherever they are most productive.
