Everyone has a story. What's yours?
At Sonder, we love building bikes that customers will love for years. We believe that every bike has a story and we're on a mission to help riders create unforgettable tales on two wheels. We're looking for someone to join our busy workshop and continue the built in Britain tradition.
About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Bike Preparation Assistant to join our team at the Bike Workshop. This is a hands-on, junior role getting bikes ready for our mechanics to build – making sure every bike arrives at the build bench in the right condition, with the right parts, and no surprises.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like;
- Preparing bikes ready for assembly by our mechanics, including basic pre-assembly tasks like tyre fitting and fork cutting
- QC and unpacking of picked orders, catching anything that isn't right before it reaches the build bench
- Occasional picking and packing of bike orders
- Spotting and resolving pick or spec issues, flagging anything that needs a second look
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
