About The Role:
Following a successful year of winning a number of public-sector tenders, Adaston is continuing to grow and strengthen its bid team to support our future expansion.
We are looking for a Bid Writer to join our close-knit team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our bid plans. You will work closely with the Bid Manager to identify opportunities, evaluate potential bids, develop high-quality tender responses and coordinate bid submissions from start to finish.
Previous bid-writing experience is desirable but not essential. We provide the training and specialist knowledge required for the role. What is essential is a strong ability to write clearly, accurately and persuasively, with the ability to communicate complex information in a concise and compelling way.
You will be expected to understand each opportunity, tailor our responses to the specific requirements of the client and ensure our submissions effectively communicate Adaston's strengths, experience and value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality responses to tenders and bids, ensuring all client requirements, specifications and deadlines are met
- Work closely with the Bid Manager and wider business to develop compelling, evidence-based responses
- Track and monitor bids throughout the process using Monday.com
- Identify upcoming business opportunities and support proactive market engagement
- Research market trends, client requirements and industry best practice to strengthen future submissions
- Coordinate input from relevant internal stakeholders to ensure bids are accurate, consistent and delivered on time
- Support business development activities, including site visits where appropriate
- Review feedback from successful and unsuccessful bids and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Contribute ideas to improve existing processes and strengthen the overall bid function

About You:
- A 2:1 degree or above in an Arts-related subject would be ideal, particularly where the course demonstrates strong written, analytical or research-based skills
- Alternatively, candidates with A or A* grades in Arts-related A-Level subjects* will be considered.
- Can write clearly, creatively and persuasively across a variety of subjects, including unfamiliar topics
- Has excellent written communication skills and a strong command of grammar and language
- Can manage multiple bids, competing priorities and deadlines effectively
- Has exceptional attention to detail and takes genuine pride in producing accurate, professional work
- Is organised, proactive and motivated to achieve results
- Is confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels of the business
- Works well as part of a team and is comfortable collaborating towards a shared objective
- Is receptive to constructive feedback and uses it to improve their work
- Is willing to take on new challenges and learn new skills
- Has the confidence and initiative to question existing processes and suggest improvements
- Is driven to learn, succeed and progress within the business
