Junior Bookkeeper – Full Time | Permanent | Shaftesbury

A modern, growing accountancy practice is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Bookkeeper to join its friendly team. This role is perfect for someone building a long-term career in practice, with opportunities to develop across bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and general accounts work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase/sales invoices
  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Bank, credit card and online platform reconciliations (PayPal, Shopify, Amazon etc.)
  • Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries and system setup
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Assisting with payroll processing
  • Supporting sole trader accounts and tax returns

About You

  • AAT Level 3 or 4 student (or equivalent)
  • Bookkeeping experience (practice or industry)
  • Strong IT and cloud-software skills
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Positive, organised, eager to learn
  • Ambition to progress within accountancy practice
