Junior Bookkeeper
Behind our nurseries is a busy head office team helping our settings run smoothly. We are looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join our office and provide day-to-day support to our two existing Bookkeepers.
This is a full-time, office-based role and would suit someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working with numbers, spreadsheets and computer systems. Previous bookkeeping experience is helpful but not essential — we are happy to consider someone with good administrative experience who is keen to learn.
Salary: £30,784
Hours: Full-time | Permanent | All year round
Location: N1, London
What You’ll Do
Working alongside our two Bookkeepers, you’ll help with a range of straightforward, day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
- Entering and checking data on our bookkeeping systems
- Assisting with routine bookkeeping administration
- Helping our Bookkeepers with general day-to-day tasks
- Carrying out other administrative tasks as required
This is a practical role where accuracy, organisation and attention to detail are particularly important.

The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate and enjoys working with numbers and spreadsheets.
You don't need to be an experienced bookkeeper. This could be a great opportunity for someone with good administrative experience who is comfortable working with computers and enjoys detailed, structured work.
Ideally, you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- A genuine enjoyment of working with spreadsheets and data
- Good numerical skills
- Good computer skills
- A methodical and accurate approach to work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable and positive attitude
- The ability to work independently while also working well alongside others
Experience using bookkeeping software would be a bonus. Familiarity with XERO, Dext and similar bookkeeping/accounting software would be particularly useful, but full training will be provided.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who likes getting the details right and is happy doing accurate, repetitive tasks as part of a busy office.
