Position summary

We are seeking a Junior Business Acceptance Analyst to join our Risk Management team in Liverpool on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional looking to develop a career in risk, compliance, and business acceptance within a leading transatlantic law firm.

Working closely with the Business Acceptance Manager and Senior Business Acceptance Analysts, you will support the firm's client and matter inception processes, ensuring regulatory requirements are met while helping the business manage risk effectively. This role offers exposure to client due diligence, conflicts analysis, anti-money laundering procedures, and stakeholder engagement across the firm.

Position responsibilities

  • Conduct client due diligence checks and support the onboarding of new clients and matters in line with Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  • Carry out conflict searches, identify potential issues, and escalate matters where appropriate.
  • Assess client and matter risk profiles using internal systems, external databases, and research tools.
  • Provide support and guidance to partners and business services teams on business acceptance, compliance, and conflicts-related queries.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review information and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong research capabilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
