We’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to play an important role in understanding performance, improving processes and driving the right decisions for our business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at an early stage of their career who enjoys working with data and making it meaningful and useful to different areas of the business.
Working closely with our Commercial Manager, you’ll support reporting, analysis and business improvement projects across Sales, Service, Projects and Finance. You’ll have plenty of variety in your role – from analysing sales, pricing and profitability to looking at customer performance and supplier contracts, operational productivity, developing dashboards and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
What You'll Do
- Prepare regular sales, service and commercial performance reports, highlighting trends and areas requiring attention.
- Analyse pricing, costs and profitability to support quotations, customer agreements and commercial decisions.
- Support customer reporting on service levels, first-time fix rates, equipment reliability and maintenance.
- Review supplier performance, purchasing volumes, pricing agreements and rebates.
- Identify sales opportunities through analysis of customer purchasing patterns and product ranges.
- Gather, validate and maintain accurate data across spreadsheets, CRM records and business systems.
- Develop and improve dashboards, reporting templates and pricing tools.
- Work with departments to understand reporting needs and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Support business projects through analysis, action tracking and presentation of findings.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis requests, presenting conclusions clearly and accurately.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
