We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Junior Business Analyst / Support Analyst to join our Business Applications Team.

Role Overview:
The role of the Junior Business Analyst / Support Analyst will support and help improve the systems that run our core business processes (ERP, reporting, and related tools). This is an entry-level role for someone with a solid technical foundation who wants to build a career in enterprise application support, business analysis, and systems development.
You'll work closely with systems managers and key users, gaining hands-on exposure to real production systems, data, and business processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line support for business application issues raised by end users, triaging, investigating, and resolving where possible.
- Write and maintain SQL queries to investigate data issues, support reporting requests, and assist with data validation.
- Assist with small-scale development and configuration tasks under guidance from senior team members.
- Document business processes, system configurations, and support procedures.
- Help gather and clarify requirements from business stakeholders for enhancements and fixes.
- Test system changes, patches, and new functionality before release.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Contribute to data cleansing, migration, and reporting tasks as required.
- Build working knowledge of the organisation's core business application(s) and underlying data structures.
Essential Requirements:
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server - able to write and understand SELECT queries, joins, and basic data manipulation; willingness to build on this quickly.
- Basic knowledge of C# and/or JavaScript - enough to read, understand, and make small modifications to existing code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset - comfortable digging into data and processes to find root causes.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach to work.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills on the job.

Desirable Requirements:
- Exposure to MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with ERP or other core business systems (e.g. Epicor, SAP, Dynamics, Sage).
- Basic understanding of relational database design.
- Any exposure to ticketing/helpdesk systems.
Experience Level:
No prior professional experience required - this role suits candidates with:
- A degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or a related field, or
- Self-taught / bootcamp SQL and programming skills backed by personal projects, coursework, or an internship.
