Junior Buyer - High Street Retailer - 12 Month FTC
Up to £40,000pa plus company benefits

A market leading high street retailer that is renowned for its multi-product menswear, womenswear and childrenswear apparel and accessories ranges have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Fashion Buyer to join their established buying team on 12-month maternity cover contract.
As a Junior Buyer you will be responsible for managing the entire outlets categories across menswear, womenswear and childrenswear, working closely with the wider outlets buying team. You manage the development process, range planning and range building. Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, you will work closely with the merchandising, design, and garment tech teams.

The ideal applicant must have previous fashion Buying experience working for a high street retailer, heritage or lifestyle brand at an established Senior Assistant Buyer and Junior Buyer level. Demonstrating a strong understanding of people management, category management and experience working with external suppliers and Far East factories. You must be an excellent communicator (written & verbal), highly analytical with advanced technical fabric knowledge, be proficient using Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Illustrator, and have excellent knowledge of garment construction & grading, wash-care labels and managing the full product development process.
