Tech Connect Group has partnered with an automotive manufacturer based in Dagenham to support their recruitment for a Graduate Buyer to join the team.

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the successful candidate will support the purchasing function by helping to source goods & services, place and expedite orders and maintain accurate supplier and pricing data.

This is a developing role with opportunities to build commercial awareness, strengthen supplier relationships and gain experience in the procurement process, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise, manage, and track purchase orders in Epicor within approval limits, ensuring the open order book is accurate, PO acknowledgements are confirmed, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and part master data in Epicor (including pricing, lead times, min stock levels, and terms) while supporting new supplier onboarding and due diligence.
  • Proactively identify supply risks, shortages, or single-source dependencies, escalating them to buyers with proposed mitigations, and assist with inventory control and cost-down initiatives (RFQs and quote comparisons).
  • Act as a key liaison for internal teams (Production, Finance, Stores) and external suppliers to resolve goods-in discrepancies, invoice queries, and coordinate replacements for OEM part breakages.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
