Junior Capital Projects Manager

We're looking for a proactive and organised Junior Capital Projects Manager to join our Capital Projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project delivery experience who is looking to develop their career within a growing capital projects function.

You'll support the delivery of capital projects across our estate and infrastructure portfolio, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with operational teams, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders, you'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from planning and business case development through to delivery, mobilisation and handover.

Travel

National travel will be required as part of this role. Travel requirements will vary depending on project activity, with some weeks requiring no travel and others requiring 1 to 2 days on site. There will also be occasional travel to the Netherlands to visit trailer manufacturing partners and support project delivery activities.

Contract

12-month fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)

What You Will Do

  • Manage smaller capital projects from inception through to completion and handover.
  • Support the delivery of larger capital projects, including project planning, business cases, feasibility studies and option appraisals.
  • Monitor project programmes, budgets, risks and key milestones to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, risk registers, issue logs and action trackers.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
  • Coordinate project meetings, communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Support procurement and contract administration processes, including tender preparation and contractor management.
  • Assist with budget monitoring, financial reporting and expenditure tracking.
  • Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare project reports and updates for senior management and governance groups.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned reviews and ongoing development of project delivery processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
