About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded and product-focused Junior Category Manager to join the Scruffs team. Working closely with the Category Managers, you'll help manage and develop the Scruffs and GreatStar product portfolio across workwear and hand tools. Combining commercial analysis with hands-on product development, you'll support everything from market research and range planning through to new product development, launches, and ongoing performance. You'll take direct ownership of designated categories and tasks, while supporting the Category Managers on broader range and commercial strategy.

This is a great opportunity for someone currently working in buying, merchandising, product, or category management who is ready to take the next step and grow into a broader category role. If so, we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

Category & Range Management

  • Support the Category Managers in developing and delivering the category strategy across clothing, footwear, accessories, and hand tools.
  • Analyse category, customer, and product performance to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Contribute to range reviews, including recommendations for new products, extensions, discontinuations, and pricing.
  • Help maintain a clear and commercially balanced product architecture across good, better, and best propositions.
  • Monitor product lifecycle performance and support decisions around core, new, seasonal, and discontinued lines.
  • Understand the needs of different customers, channels, and markets and help ensure the range remains relevant across each.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
