Studio Invisible is a dynamic, friendly and fast-paced creative studio based in vibrant East London, creating high-end stills and short form content for advertising and brands.
We’re looking for a Junior 3D Generalist to join our 3D team. This is a great opportunity if you’ve recently graduated, or are looking for your first step into a career in this industry.
As a graduate / entry-level artist, you won’t be expected to know everything on day one. You’ll work from a defined training plan with the support of a Lead CG Mentor who will help you to learn and develop, and discover your strengths. We’re looking for someone who is curious, ambitious and enthusiastic. Someone eager to evolve their current skillset with a proactive approach to work, and an ability to comfortably critique their own work and be open to collaborative feedback.
What we'd like you to bring.
We’re not expecting you to tick every box, but demonstrate strong fundamentals, a good eye and a portfolio that shows promise.
Ideal Experience
- 3D Skills: You’ve developed digital arts skills through a degree or self-directed learning. We’re particularly interested in proficiency with Autodesk Maya for basic scene assembly, camera placement, lighting and geometry prep.
- Rendering: You’ve had practical experience with modern raytracers. V-Ray is highly preferred but experience with similar engines (Arnold, Redshift) are relevant too.
- Photographic Eye: You don’t have to be a photographer, but should have a grasp of studio lighting principles. Things like key/fill/rim balance, specular control, reflection shaping and real-world depth of field.
- Materials & Realism: You understand how different materials behave (metals, glass, plastics, translucency) and are interested in making your renders feel believable.
- Strong Portfolio / Reel: Show us what you’ve been creating, it doesn’t have to be commercial work. We’re interested to see examples that demonstrate good lighting, composition and realistic materials.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
