Junior Clinical Fellow in Nephrology
Join our team as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Nephrology at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, where you'll be immersed in an esteemed department with a strong national reputation. As part of our team, you'll engage in a 1:7 middle-grade rota, ensuring comprehensive coverage of our Nephrology Unit.
Ideal Candidate
Ideal for ambitious physicians with a passion for Nephrology, this role offers hands-on experience in renal medicine within a supportive environment. You'll collaborate closely with consultant nephrologists, contributing to the management of in-patient and out-patient renal services at Lister Hospital.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass diverse areas, including:
- Patient care on the nephrology ward
- Overseeing operations in the Haemodialysis and CAPD Units
- Participating in renal clinics
- Engaging in audit and research initiatives within the unit, fostering professional growth

Duties
To provide general medical care within the department in close co-operation with colleagues and other specialties
To provide emergency general medical care within the on-call rota
To participate in the department’s teaching, audit, and educational activities
