About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technical support environment and help ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of cloud services. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in cloud infrastructure and technical support who is looking to develop their career further. You will provide 1st and 2nd line cloud support, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, monitor cloud environments, and act as an escalation point for more complex incidents.

You will work across cloud platforms and technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, supporting areas such as virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for cloud-related incidents and service requests.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving cloud infrastructure, services, and connectivity.
  • Log, categorise, and prioritise incidents and service requests accurately.
  • Troubleshoot virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services across cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Monitor cloud environments and respond proactively to performance issues and alerts.
  • Use monitoring platforms such as AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or GCP Operations Suite.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or specialist resolver groups with clear technical documentation.
  • Work closely with support teams, senior engineers, and other internal teams to resolve high-priority incidents within SLA.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and escalation documentation.
  • Liaise with cloud service providers and third-party vendors when technical support is required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across cloud support operations.
  • Stay current with cloud technologies, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Participate in training and professional development, including relevant cloud certifications.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
