Junior Club Manager in West London - Premium Fitness Club, Genuine Route to General Manager
Up to £32k + Bonus
Location: West London
Our client is a premium health and fitness operator known for blending cutting-edge training with recovery-focused facilities to create an exceptional member experience tailored to individual needs. They're looking for an ambitious Junior Club Manager to take a leading role in their West London club, with a genuinely fast-tracked route through to General Manager as the business continues to grow.
This is the natural next step for someone who has already proven themselves as an Assistant General Manager and is ready for wider ownership. You'll take on a broader slice of the club's day-to-day running, working closely with senior leadership to sharpen your commercial and operational skills, and building the experience needed to run a club of your own in the near future.
On offer is a strong basic salary plus bonus, hands-on mentoring from experienced General Managers, and huge progression potential into a General Manager role as the business expands.
Working pattern: Full-time, working a mix of shifts across a 7-day operation, including some evenings and weekends to reflect peak member usage.
Key responsibilities:
- Member experience: Create unforgettable moments every day, empowering members to smash their goals and love the journey, and championing service excellence on the gym floor so every member feels valued and supported.
- Leading from the front: Be highly visible and approachable on the gym floor, setting the pace and leading by example to foster a positive, energetic environment for members and staff.
- Team development: Take an active role in building and developing a high-performing team, supporting and mentoring Membership Associates and Personal Trainers, and encouraging continuous learning and professional growth.
- Commercial growth: Help drive ambitious member sales and retention strategies to exceed targets, and identify commercial opportunities such as personal training and secondary spend to support the club's financial success.
- Community connections: Build local events and partnerships that make the club the heart of the community, raising its profile and strengthening member engagement.
- Operational excellence: Take ownership of smooth day-to-day operations through smart scheduling and high standards, and proactively seek improvements while upholding brand values throughout.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager to align on club goals, share feedback and progress, and help foster a culture of teamwork and open communication across the site.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
