About the job
Our client, a well-established not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a Junior Company Secretarial professional to provide interim governance support during a period of increased workload.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative governance team, supporting board and committee activities while working closely with the General Counsel and Company Secretary.
Key Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: FTC until approximately October
- Rate: Up to £300 p/d DOE
- Working Pattern: Full or part-time, (2, 3 or 5 days per week considered)
- Location: London
- Working Model: Ideally office based (hybrid may be considered)
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing company secretarial support across SATCo's boards, committees and executive groups
- Assisting with the preparation, collation and distribution of board and committee packs
- Preparing agendas and supporting forward planning for meetings
- Taking accurate minutes and tracking actions arising from meetings
- Coordinating document execution and signing processes where required
- Assisting with the preparation and quality assurance of board and committee papers
- Maintaining statutory registers and supporting Companies House and other regulatory filings
- Supporting governance planning, annual timetables and committee administration
- Developing and maintaining governance templates, checklists and process documentation
- Monitoring and following up on board and committee actions
- Supporting board member inductions and maintaining governance training records
- Managing governance records and filing systems to ensure accurate document management
- Providing general administrative support to the Legal Services Unit as required
- Acting as a point of contact for governance queries from internal stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:

- Previous Company Secretarial experience essential
- Experience supporting boards and committees within an in-house governance or company secretarial environment
- Understanding of board packs, agendas, minutes, statutory records and governance processes
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
