Junior Compliance Analyst | London Market Insurance

Looking to kick-start your career in insurance compliance? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing global insurance business at an exciting stage of its development, where you’ll get genuine exposure to how an international insurance business operates.

You’ll work alongside an experienced Compliance team and have direct exposure to senior stakeholders, while building your knowledge across Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Actuarial and Finance. This role is about learning, getting involved and taking ownership, giving you the opportunity to develop quickly and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in insurance compliance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with compliance policies, procedures and regulatory change
  • Supporting horizon scanning and research into new regulations
  • Supporting underwriting compliance, licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with regulatory applications and reporting
  • Helping create and deliver compliance training
  • Supporting KYC and Terms of Business processes
  • Collating and analysing management information
  • Assisting with Board and management reporting
  • Supporting the team with business compliance and financial crime queries
  • Maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation
  • Getting involved in wider compliance and business projects

What they’re looking for:

You could be a recent graduate with a degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics or another relevant/analytical subject, or have some early career experience in a related environment.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Is analytical, organised and highly detail-oriented
  • Communicates confidently, both verbally and in writing
  • Is curious and genuinely keen to learn
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Is proactive and comfortable taking ownership
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Has a genuine interest in compliance, regulation and the insurance industry
  • Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Has a positive, commercial and ‘can do’ attitude
