At B&M, our continued growth depends on the successful delivery of new stores, refits and estate improvement projects across the UK. As a Junior Project Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of our store development programme, helping to ensure projects are coordinated effectively and delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring project management professional to develop their career within a fast-paced retail environment. Working closely with experienced Project Managers and the wider Property team, you will gain exposure to all stages of project delivery, from pre-construction planning through to store opening and handover, while taking ownership of smaller projects and developing the skills needed to progress into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of new store openings, relocations, refurbishments and refresh projects, coordinating activities from planning through to handover.
- Manage smaller-scale projects and works packages, ensuring delivery against programme, budget and quality requirements.
- Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting and contractor management, helping maintain control across multiple live projects.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, providing project updates and supporting effective communication throughout delivery.
- Conduct site visits and support compliance with Building Regulations, CDM requirements, Health & Safety standards and company procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
