Stuart Leach Associates is a specialist disputes communications firm. We advise clients on the reputational and strategic dimensions of litigation, investigations and other contentious matters, often across multiple jurisdictions.
Our clients include high net worth individuals, governments, private businesses and hedge funds. Much of our work involves fraud allegations, complex commercial claims and disputes with political or geopolitical dimensions. We help clients understand how a matter may be viewed beyond the courtroom, identify the audiences that matter and communicate effectively as events develop.
We are looking for a graduate to join the team as a Junior Consultant. The role would suit someone interested in law, communications, politics or international affairs who wants to work on complex, often sensitive matters.

The role
You would work with senior colleagues to:
- Analyse court documents and research disputes, the parties involved and the wider political and commercial context.
- Help develop narratives that explain complex matters clearly and persuasively to the audiences that matter.
- Draft press releases, media comments, journalist briefings and other client materials.
- Research relevant journalists and publications, brief journalists and support media engagement.
- Monitor legal developments and coverage across active matters, and help adapt our approach as circumstances change.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and the firm’s LinkedIn content.
We are a small team with a flat hierarchy. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and express their views, whatever their level of experience. We believe the best way to learn is by doing, so we support new joiners to take an active part in live matters from the outset.

We are looking for someone who writes clearly, researches thoroughly and exercises sound judgement. You should be able to look beyond the immediate facts of a case, see the broader picture and think strategically about what needs to be communicated, to whom and why. We value creativity, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and strategic thinking.
No particular degree subject or previous communications experience is required.
This is a full time, office based role at our Chancery Lane office, five days a week. The office has good facilities, including free gym access.
