About Enable Strategic Consulting

At Enable Strategic Consulting, we help organisations compete and win in complex, regulated markets. We combine business-winning strategy, capture consultancy, competitive intelligence, commercial thinking, and technology to help our clients make better decisions and convert opportunities into results.

We’re growing and looking for a Junior Consultant - Strategy & Growth to join our team and work on real client challenges from day one. This isn't a traditional junior consultancy role where you'll spend your first few years simply producing analysis for someone else. We’re looking for someone who is analytical, commercially minded, curious, and ready to take responsibility.

The Opportunity

You’ll work alongside experienced consultants and directly with client teams across high-value and complex competitions.

A key part of the role will be Position to Win (PTW), helping clients understand what they need to offer, how they can differentiate, how competitors are likely to respond, and what price and proposition gives them the strongest chance of winning.

You’ll work across areas including:

  • Market, customer, and competitor analysis
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Business-winning and capture strategy
  • Pricing and commercial analysis
  • Strategy and business cases
  • Customer insight
  • Bid and growth strategy
  • Workshops and client discovery
  • AI, data, and digital solutions

You’ll be expected to do more than analyse information. We want you to form a view, challenge assumptions, develop recommendations, and increasingly take ownership of client outputs and outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

  • Develop and support Position to Win strategies across major and complex competitions.
  • Research markets, customers, and competitors and turn insight into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop competitive analysis and customer insight to inform bid, capture, and growth strategies.
  • Build and refine pricing models, scenarios, and assumptions.
  • Assess price, quality, customer priorities, and competitor behaviour to understand potential outcomes.
  • Develop commercial and non-price strategies that strengthen client propositions.
  • Contribute to client discovery sessions, workshops, and strategy discussions.
  • Challenge assumptions, test hypotheses, and ensure recommendations are evidence-based.
  • Support bid/no-bid and strategic decisions by identifying risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.
  • Work with capture, bid, commercial, and technical teams.
  • Apply economic, analytical, and commercial thinking to real-world business-winning challenges.
  • Explore how AI, data, technology, and digital products can improve decision-making and business-winning processes.
  • Help develop Enable’s proprietary tools, IP, and AI-enabled platforms.
  • Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the continued growth of Enable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The full role combines analytical thinking with practical client delivery, with increasing responsibility as your consulting capability develops.

Who We're Looking For

This role could suit someone with around 3–4 years' professional experience who is ready to move into consulting or take the next step in their consulting career. Your experience might come from Consulting, Business analysis, Economics, Commercial analysis, Procurement, Bid management, Business development, or Finance.

You don't need to have followed a traditional consulting career path. What matters is that you are smart, curious, commercially aware, and comfortable tackling complex problems.

You'll ideally have:

  • Degree-level education or formal training in economics, mathematics, mathematical sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to work with uncertainty and imperfect information.
  • An understanding of pricing, commercial analysis, and financial benchmarking.
  • Experience or knowledge of business-winning methodologies.
  • Strong commercial judgement and an ability to understand the relationship between price, quality, risk, value, and customer priorities.
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions when the evidence doesn't support them.
  • The ability to explain complex ideas simply and clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work with clients and a wide range of stakeholders.

Experience with Python, R, or similar is an advantage, as is an interest in AI platforms and emerging technologies.

Why Join Enable?

You’ll get the opportunity to:

  • Work on meaningful problems
  • Get involved in complex, high-value client challenges rather than simply producing analysis in the background.
  • Build consulting skills quickly
  • Work alongside experienced consultants while taking increasing ownership of your own outputs and recommendations.
  • Get close to clients
  • Develop your stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills through genuine client exposure.
  • Develop your commercial thinking
  • Understand how strategy, pricing, competition, customer requirements, and commercial decisions come together to win work.
  • Work with AI and emerging technology
  • Explore how AI, data, and digital solutions can improve strategy, analysis, and business-winning.
  • Help build something
  • Enable is a growing consultancy, so you’ll have the opportunity to contribute not only to client delivery but also to our IP, products, propositions, and future growth.
