Description
This role will primarily support the delivery of large-scale Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) programmes for global FMCG and agri-food clients, alongside broader supplier engagement and responsible sourcing work.

The Role
We are seeking a Junior Consultant to join our Value Chain Transformation team in the UK.
This role will primarily support the delivery of large-scale Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) programmes for global FMCG and agri-food clients, alongside broader supplier engagement and responsible sourcing work.
As a Junior Consultant, you will work as part of a wider project team, supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs while developing your technical knowledge and consulting skills.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a range of projects across sectors, gaining broad exposure to sustainability challenges and solutions. This is an entry-level role, designed to provide strong foundations for progression within Anthesis.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Support the delivery of MRV and supplier engagement programmes for global agri-food clients
- Assist in the preparation of client deliverables, including reports, presentations and data summaries
- Contribute to regenerative agriculture and responsible sourcing initiatives
- Support project coordination activities, including tracking timelines, actions and outputs
- Contribute to internal and client meetings, including preparation and note-taking

Data & Analysis
- Support the collection, cleaning and validation of data across MRV programmes
- Assist with analysis of environmental and supply chain data (e.g. greenhouse gas emissions, land use, living wages)
- Maintain and update datasets, trackers and reporting tools
- Support documentation of methodologies, assumptions and data sources
Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support supplier onboarding and engagement activities within MRV programmes
- Assist in preparing communications, guidance materials and training content
- Help track supplier participation and follow up on data and engagement activities
Research & Insight
- Conduct research on sustainability topics, particularly within agri-food and supply chains
- Support the development of insights and content for client deliverables
- Build knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi)
- Support supplier engagement programmes through evaluation of sustainability incentives and adoption mechanisms
Team Support
- Provide general support across project teams, including administrative and coordination tasks
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support business development activities where appropriate (e.g. desk-based research)

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, agriculture, geography, economics)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and confidence working with data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrable interest in sustainability, agri-food systems and regenerative agriculture
Desirable
- Understanding of sustainability frameworks (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi, Scope 3)
- Exposure to agri-food or FMCG supply chains
- Experience working with datasets, reporting tools or data visualisation
- Knowledge of MRV approaches or environmental metrics
