Passive Fire Team – Progression to Junior Contracts Manager

Are you organised, ambitious and looking to build a career in Contract Management?

We are looking for a driven and organised individual to join our Passive Fire Team in Chigwell, Essex, with a clear opportunity to progress into a Junior Contracts Manager position.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to move beyond administration and develop a long-term career within contract management, construction and passive fire.

You will work closely with our experienced team, supporting live contracts and gaining hands-on experience across the full contract lifecycle. As your knowledge and confidence develop, so will your level of responsibility.

You do not need previous experience as a Contracts Manager. We are more interested in your attitude, organisation, communication skills and ambition to progress.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support to the Passive Fire Team, helping ensure our contracts are planned, organised and delivered effectively.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Coordinating works across multiple contracts.
  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of works.
  • Liaising with clients, operatives, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Keeping contract information, records and documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Monitoring outstanding actions and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Supporting the delivery team with day-to-day contract requirements.
  • Assisting with reports, spreadsheets and contract documentation.
  • Tracking works and following up outstanding information.
  • Helping to identify and resolve issues to keep contracts progressing.
  • Providing general administrative and coordination support.
  • Developing an understanding of contract performance, delivery and client requirements.
  • Learning how our contracts are managed from mobilisation through to completion.

Progression Opportunity

The long-term goal of this position is to develop the successful candidate into a Junior Contracts Manager.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager and work alongside the existing Passive Fire Team, gaining practical experience and learning how contracts are managed and delivered.

As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will take on increased responsibility and be supported in progressing towards a Junior Contracts Manager role.

This is a genuine opportunity to build a career rather than simply take on an administration position.
